3. How We Collect Information
- From you: When you create an account, complete the compatibility quiz, update your profile, book experiences, submit reviews, or talk to our support team.
- Automatically: Through cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and anti-abuse protections (such as reCAPTCHA Enterprise) that monitor performance, security, and feature adoption.

- Curate guest lists, coordinate reservations with partner venues, manage last-minute seats, and process bring-a-friend invitations.
- Process subscription payments, confirm transactions through our payment processor, and provide receipts.

- Enable group chat, venue voting, table games, peer reviews, badges, XP, and Real-World Feedback Reports.

5. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and local storage to remember preferences, keep the Platform secure, and measure traffic. You can adjust browser settings to refuse cookies, but some features may not function properly.
6. When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Vendors & Service Providers: Payment processors (such as Stripe), email providers, analytics and product instrumentation partners, anti-abuse services (such as reCAPTCHA Enterprise), customer support tools, and cloud hosting services under contract.
- Restaurant & Venue Partners: Limited details needed to seat you—typically your name, dietary notes, and whether you’ve confirmed or canceled.
- Trust & Safety Partners: Security consultants and professional advisors when consistent with applicable law.
- Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of guests, staff, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your data.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Profile and compatibility data remain active while you maintain an account. If your account is inactive for an extended period, we may delete or de-identify most data unless we must keep it for legal, accounting, safety, or legitimate operational reasons (for example, preserving strike history, Trust & Safety reports, or anonymized insights that power the matching engine).
8. Your Choices
- Access & Updates: Edit most profile, compatibility, and booking preference information directly within the app.
- Communications: Manage marketing emails from your profile settings or by using the unsubscribe links in our messages.
- Cookies & Device Data: Adjust browser or device settings to limit cookies and local storage. Some features may rely on these technologies.
- Data Copies: Request a copy of your personal data, including peer reviews and Real-World Feedback inputs, by emailing admin@nicetomeetyou.ai.
- Deletion: Request account deletion from Account > Delete Account or by contacting us. We confirm outstanding bookings before completing the request; timing may vary.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or other state regulations. Submit those requests to admin@nicetomeetyou.ai and we will verify your identity before responding.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit, limited employee access, secure hosting, and routine security reviews. No system is completely secure; please protect your password, log out on shared devices, and alert us to suspicious activity.
10. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Visitors
We are based in the United States. If you access the Platform from another country, you consent to transferring and processing your information in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
